One of the biggest strategies I’ve used to connect with more people and grow my business is to tell my personal story. When I work with clients to get them to be more open in this way, they often rebel and want to keep it all “private.” This is a huge mistake…because all human beings want to connect with one another and want to do business with people they know, like, and trust. I recently talked about “personality in your marketing” and how it brings out the true nature of your business. Which brings us back to how you present YOUR story.
It’s for this reason that I created our Marketer of the Year award. This is the best chance you have to inspire others by telling your story and showing off your accomplishments as a child care owner or leader. So many people have been so touched by our Marketer of the Year contestants and finalists, and it’s a ripple in the pond that keeps ever-reaching and expanding its impact.
So today’s blog features another one of our awesome Marketer of the Year Finalists (from 2015)…Bethany Nicholson, Executive Director of Northwest Christian Child Care in Columbus, Ohio.
In early December of 2014, Bethany Nicolson of Northwest Christian Childcare Center started working with Child care Marketing Solutions after attending their first Success Summit in Las Vegas. Since that time, they have enrolled 74 new children and have increased their annualized revenue by over $500,000.
Their actual budgeted revenue increased by 28.6% and this was with partial year enrollments! By implementing Kris Murray’s marketing techniques, these numbers far exceeded their expectations. NWCCC was now playing ball in the big leagues!!
They also wanted to give back to the community by providing 8 scholarships to disadvantaged children, something that was important to them as a non-profit ministry.
In addition, they had the largest summer camp ever and started an Aftercare program in the fall. They had such a demand for the Aftercare program that they had families offering to drive their kids to and from the program every day as the bus was filled to capacity!! Now that’s a home run!
Their school tours have become top notch, with almost every family writing a check or paying within days of their tour. This is due to the fantastic staff member they have in charge of tours. Bethany is using her “A Players” to manage the critical job of school tours.
They ramped up their Social Media presence by having Facebook contests, using Google Add words better and improved upon their fun, in-school marketing programs and created a new promotional video with awesome parent testimonials.
